When you use Jointly, you may provide us with:
- Account information (name, email address via Sign in with Apple)
- Budget categories and amounts
- Transaction data (amounts, categories, locations, notes)
- Partner connection information (invite codes)
- Avatar and display preferences

We may automatically collect:
- Device information (device type, operating system)
- App usage data (features used, session duration)
- Crash reports and performance data
Location Information
With your permission, we may collect location data to suggest nearby merchants when adding transactions. This is optional and can be disabled at any time in your device settings.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the Jointly app
- Sync your data between you and your partner

- Send you notifications about your budgets (if enabled)

Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. CloudKit provides:
- End-to-end encryption for private data
- Secure data transmission using TLS
- Data stored in Apple's secure data centers
- Authentication through your Apple ID
We do not store your financial data on our own servers. All budget and transaction data is stored directly in your iCloud account through CloudKit.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data may be shared only in the following circumstances:
- With Your Partner: Budget and transaction data is shared with your connected partner through CloudKit.
- Service Providers: We may use third-party services for analytics and crash reporting. These services receive anonymized data only.

You have the right to:
- Access Your Data: View all your data within the app
- Delete Your Data: Delete your account and all associated data

Children's Privacy
Jointly is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
